About Khwan Law
A practice built
on careful listening.
Khwan Law was founded on the understanding that family legal matters require more than technical knowledge — they require genuine care for the people involved.

Where Khwan Law began
Khwan Law was established in Bangkok by a small group of legal professionals who had spent years working within larger practices and noticed something that bothered them: family matters were often processed at the same tempo and with the same detached language as commercial transactions. The people at the centre of those matters — couples in transition, parents thinking about their children's futures, individuals facing difficult choices alone — deserved something different.
The practice opened with a clear purpose: to offer family legal services in a way that acknowledged the personal weight of each situation. Located on Yaowarat Road in Samphanthawong, at the edge of Bangkok's historic centre, the office was deliberately set up to feel calm and unhurried — a place where people could speak freely.
Since opening, we have worked with clients from across Thailand and from many parts of the world, supporting them through consultations, cooperative arrangements, and formal proceedings. Our work is grounded in Thai family law, and we bring both technical knowledge and genuine attentiveness to every matter we take on.
We do not measure success purely by outcomes. We also measure it by how people feel when they leave — whether they understood what happened, whether they felt respected, and whether the pace of the process suited them rather than us.

Family legal matters in Thailand — handled with care
Thai family law covers a wide range of personal and domestic situations — from the practical details of how families arrange matters during periods of change, to the more formal processes that sometimes become necessary. Navigating this area calls for both legal understanding and sensitivity to what people are actually going through.
At Khwan Law, we work with clients at all stages: those who are uncertain and want to understand their position before making any decision, those looking for a cooperative path forward that avoids unnecessary conflict, and those whose situation calls for full formal representation through to completion.
Bangkok's legal landscape for family matters has its own particular character, shaped by Thai civil and commercial code provisions on marriage, inheritance, and parental rights. Our work is grounded in this specific legal context, and we bring both the technical knowledge and the human understanding that family matters require.
We serve clients in English and support those unfamiliar with the Thai system in understanding how it works — not in an abstract way, but in relation to their own situation and what it means for them and the people they care about.
