Six things that define how we work
Patient listening
Plain-language advice
Complete discretion
Transparent pricing
Thai law expertise
Your pace, not ours
Professional expertise grounded in Thai family law
Every adviser at Khwan Law holds registration with the Lawyers Council of Thailand and focuses specifically on family matters. This focused practice means our knowledge is deep rather than broad — and applied carefully to each individual situation, not adapted from a general template.
- Registered and regulated Thai legal practitioners
- Exclusive focus on family law matters
- Over 12 years of combined family law experience
A personal service — genuinely personal
Family situations have texture and history that standardised processes cannot accommodate well. From the first conversation, we take time to understand yours — not to filter it into categories, but to respond to what is actually there. Clients work with the same adviser throughout, and nothing is handed off without explanation.
- Consistent adviser relationship throughout
- Time allocated to understand your full situation
- English-language service for international clients
Honest, upfront pricing with nothing hidden
The cost of legal help is a real concern, and uncertainty about fees adds pressure to an already difficult situation. Our service fees are set out clearly — ฿7,200 for an initial consultation, ฿10,900 for cooperative agreement support, and ฿13,700 for full representation — and we agree everything in writing before any work begins. There are no open billing arrangements.
- Fixed, published fees for each service
- Written agreement before work begins
- No unexpected additions or open-ended billing
Cooperative approaches where they serve everyone better
Not every family matter needs to become adversarial. Where circumstances allow, we support clients in reaching arrangements cooperatively — with thoughtful mediation, careful drafting, and a focus on preserving relationships that matter, particularly where children are involved. We bring the same thoroughness to a cooperative process as to a contested one.
- Mediation support available when appropriate
- Relationship-aware approach throughout
- Careful agreement drafting for lasting clarity
A track record of thoughtful, considered outcomes
Over more than a decade, the team at Khwan Law has supported more than 400 clients through a wide range of family matters in Thailand. We measure our work not only by legal outcomes but by how people feel about the process — whether they understood it, whether they felt heard, and whether the experience was as manageable as we could make it.
- 400+ matters handled since the practice opened
- Strong focus on process experience, not just outcomes
- Clients from across Thailand and internationally

What Makes Us Different
The specifics that set Khwan Law apart
Family law only — not a general practice
Unlike general legal practices that handle everything from commercial contracts to property, Khwan Law works only in family matters. The knowledge here is specific and practised, not borrowed from adjacent areas.
Cross-cultural experience, in English
We work regularly with clients who have come to Thailand from elsewhere — people whose lives involve two legal systems or two cultural contexts. Our English-language service is thorough, not a translation afterthought.
Three clearly defined service paths
We offer three services because family situations genuinely differ. Rather than one-size pricing or vague engagement terms, each path is scoped, priced, and explained before anything is agreed.
A pace that recognises the human dimension
Family matters often need more time than a standard legal process allows for. We build that time into how we work — not as a premium add-on, but as a recognition that people, not just cases, are at the centre of what we do.
