Questions
Things people often ask
What happens during the initial consultation?
The first consultation is simply a conversation. We ask about your situation, listen carefully, and explain what the relevant legal framework looks like in plain language. You are never pushed toward any particular outcome. Nothing has to be decided on the day — it is a starting point, not a commitment.
How long do family matters typically take to resolve?
Timelines vary considerably depending on the nature and complexity of the matter. Some arrangements can be settled cooperatively within a few weeks; more formal proceedings may take several months. We will give you an honest assessment of timing early on, and we keep you informed at each stage so there are no surprises.
Are your services available to people who are not Thai nationals?
Yes. We work regularly with clients from a range of backgrounds, including those who have lived in Thailand for many years and those who are newer to the country. All consultations and correspondence are conducted in English, and we are familiar with the particular questions that arise in cross-cultural family situations.
What is the difference between cooperative support and full representation?
Cooperative Agreement Support is suited to situations where both parties are open to discussion and a mutually workable arrangement is within reach. Full Family Representation covers matters that require formal documentation, court involvement, or a more structured process. We help you understand which path fits your circumstances before any decision is made.
How is my personal information handled?
All personal information is held strictly confidentially and used only in connection with your matter. We do not share your details with any third party without your consent, except where required by law. Our privacy practices are set out in full on our Privacy Policy page.
What are the fees, and when are they due?
Fees for each service are set out clearly, and we agree the terms in writing before any work begins. The Private Family Consultation is ฿7,200, Cooperative Agreement Support is ฿10,900, and Full Family Representation is ฿13,700. If your situation has aspects that fall outside a standard scope, we discuss that openly before proceeding.
